Bhavana, the immortal actress, made her debut in Malayalam cinema in 2002. Bhavana’s first film was directed by Kamal. Namam was Bhavana’s first film. Jishnu Raghavan, Siddharth Bharathan, Renuka Menon, Bhavana, Vijeesh and many other newcomers entered Malayalam cinema through Namam. Bhavana played the role of Parimalam in the film set in a campus setting. No matter how many years have passed, his first film and his first character are always liked by every star. Bhavana has said in many interviews that the same is true for her. After a hiatus, Bhavana has been active again in Malayalam cinema only recently.
After the movie ‘Adam John’ released in 2017, Bhavana did not act in Malayalam films for 5 years. Bhavana became active again in Malayalam with the movie Nrikakkakkoru Premandarn. Now, in a recent interview, the actor had said something about the character of Parimalam in the movie, “If you ask for a character that is close to my heart in all these years of acting career, it is definitely Parimalam. Maybe because it is the first movie. I still remember the first shot of it. Parimalam was a character who used to wash clothes in the slums. My first shot should look at Jishnu Chetan and Sidhu Chetan while I am washing the cloth. After looking at them again I had to wash my clothes and this was my first shot.
