Actors Baburaj and Shwetha Menon took a firm stand against actor and producer Vijay Babu, accused in a rape case. Both have said that they will resign if Vijay Babu is not expelled from the star-studded ‘Amma’ association. Baburaj said he would resign from the executive if there was no strong action against Vijay Babu.
Some members of ‘AMMA’ suggested that Vijay Babu should not be expelled for the time being and he should be given 15 days. They opined that Vijay Babu should not be expelled till the court considers his bail application. Some executive members said that if Vijay Babu is expelled, it would affect his bail application and its following proceedings.
The IC committee meeting chaired by Shwetha Menon was held yesterday. Rachana Narayanankutty, Kuku Parameswaran and Mala Parvathy were also members of the committee. The IC wrote asking to take stern action against Vijay Babu.
