The India Meteorological Department has issued an isolated heavy rainfall warning for Kerala on Oct 9-10. Yellow alerts have been sounded for Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad on Sunday and Malappuram and Wayanad on Monday.
As per IMD, thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in Kerala till Tuesday.
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 40-50kmph gusting to 60 kmph is likely to prevail over Comorin, Gulf of Mannar adjoining south Tamil Nadu coast and southwest Bay of Bengal.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Manjeri, Thalassery and Mankara recorded the highest rainfall of 3cm on Friday.
