Mother was killed by her son at Changanassery in Kottyam district. The deceased has been identified as Kunjannamma (55). Her son Nitin Babu, aged 27, was taken into police custody in connection with the incident. The incident took place at their home last night. Only mother and son live at home.
After the killing, Nitin called his neighbor. The grill in front of the house was locked from outside. When police arrived, they broke the grill and entered the house and found Kunjanamma lying in her bedroom with wound in her neck. The preliminary conclusion is that the murder was carried out using a knife. Police said Nitin was constantly fighting with his monther. The police team led by CI Anoop Krishna was taken the killer into custody.
