India reported only 3,230 new Covid cases, which is the lowest in 118 days. With the fresh tally, total Covid cases in India now stand at 4,45,75,473, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday.
The active cases declined to 42,358 while the death toll climbed to 5,28,562 with 32 fatalities which include 22 deaths reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated.
The active cases comprise 0.10 per cent of the total infections, the ministry said, adding the national Covid recovery rate increased to 98.72 per cent.
A decline of 1,057 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.18 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 1.58 per cent, according to the ministry.
