India in the last 24 hours saw a major dip in the COVID-19 cases, as the country logged only 2,468 new cases. The total active cases of COVID-19 in India have decreased to 33,318, the health ministry data showed today. Yesterday, the registered active cases were around 34,598.
According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, the total recovery rate reached at around 98.74 per cent and total recoveries data reached to 4,40,39,883.
The death toll climbed to 5,28,733 with 17 more fatalities, which included nine deaths reconciled by Kerala, data updated by the ministry at 8 am stated.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,40,39,883, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19 per cent.
According to the ministry, 218.83 crore doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 inoculation drive.
