Minister KB Ganesh Kumar said that India should be a country where people live together as brothers without asking or mentioning caste. He was speaking while receiving the Republic Day Parade in Kollam.
India has been able to maintain democracy till now. Even in neighboring countries democracy has disappeared. Yet India has maintained secularism for so long.
Constitution is the strength of India. Ganesh Kumar also said that the country was built on the basic principle of secularism.
The Minister said in his speech that the Constitution should not be used for personal interests or selfish interests.
The Republic Day celebrations in the state began with the hoisting of the national flag by Governor Arif Muhammad Khan at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Stadium.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, ministers, state police chief, district collector and others participated in the program.
But the Chief Minister and ministers boycotted the Governor’s Republic Day reception. Chief Minister and Ministers do not attend the banquet. At Home was organized at Raj Bhavan at 6.30.
Ministers and Chief Minister have not reached the banquet till now. Only officers attend. This indicates that the war between the governor and the government is intensifying.
