India’s first nasal covid vaccine released by Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandavya and Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh jointly. iNCOVACC, a nasal covid vaccine, is manufactured by Bharat Biotech.
The vaccine is approved for two doses and a booster dose. Bharat Biotech has stated that when the central and state governments buy together, they can provide the vaccine for Rs 325 per dose and for private clinics at Rs 800. Any vaccinated person 18 years of age or older can receive this vaccine as a booster dose. First-time nasal vaccine recipients should receive two doses 28 days apart. Bharat Biotech had already stated that it will launch the nasal covid vaccine on Republic Day.
