Instagram has now separated the messaging feature to a different app, called ‘Direct’. With the complete removal of ‘Direct’ from ‘Instagram’, the company seems to have turned out to be like what ‘Snapchat’. That said, ‘Direct’ is now available in six countries – Chilie, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Turkey and Urugay. While both the Android and iOS versions are available in these countries, it has not been announced by the company, about its plans of rolling out across the globe.
When opened, Direct takes you directly to the ‘Camera View’, while you can swipe to the left and go to the inbox, while swiping to the right takes you to the settings view.
