Tamil actor Ranjith is the favorite of the audience. He is all set to come back to Malayalam with a new film called Kadakan. “I am acting in a Malayalam film after many years. I have done a few films in Malayalam so I am in the minds of the people here and I am very thankful for that. I love the Malayalam film industry. I have done around 100 movies in Tamil. But in the Indian film industry, Malayalam is one field that gives importance to story. All the roles I have got so far in Malayalam cinema have been super. I have to thank Ranjith sir for giving me that role in Rajamanikyam movie.
At the time of shooting, I had no idea what the output of this film would be like. Wherever I go after this film, people recognize me as Simon Nadar. It was Mohanlal sir who first called me to the Malayalam film industry. I have to thank you sir for that. I came to Malayalam for the first time through the movie Nathurajav. The biggest highlight of the Rajamanikyam movie was the Thiruvananthapuram slang spoken by Mammooka. We all understood that during the shooting. As soon as he performed we knew everyone was going to take it. When I came to Chennai and Ranjith sir and Anwar Rasheed told me this story, I did not expect that this film would become such a hit. I had done a film in Tamil with Mammootty sir. I even got a state award for my performance in that film.
Kalabhavan Mani was a good man. I miss him a lot. Kalabhavan Mani was a lead character in the Tamil film starring Mammootty sir. In one scene there was a scene of climbing a coconut tree. He had climbed into a coconut tree and fell down. While he was lying down badly injured, everyone started thinking about shooting this scene tomorrow with another actor. But when he got up in the morning, he saw that after taking five pills and drinking water, Mani was ready to play the role in such pain and weakness.
