Putting an end to the whole lot of speculations, Royal Enfield has announced the name of their next model, powered by a 650cc parallel twin engine. Naming it ‘Interceptor 650’, the model, which got unveiled, one of the twin engines would bear the name on it. The latest addition to the ‘Interceptor’ series of RE – which holds the legacy of over 5 decades – is capable of producing 46.3bhp at 7,100rpm, while it produces 52Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm; all these figures must be read along with its 6 speed gearbox.
It has to be said that RE Interceptor 650 is something that is mainly meant for international markets, and Indian fans of RE would have to wait for the model, till the company come up with an official announcement.
