Kochi: Temporary relief for Robin Bus. The High Court has stayed the action of the Department of Motor Vehicles which revoked the permit of the bus.
The Department of Motor Vehicles has temporarily frozen the action. The permit cancellation process has been frozen till December 18. The High Court issued an interim order clarifying this.
The High Court also clarified that it will not comment on the government’s argument that the permit has expired. The court also said that if the bus is impounded, the fine should be paid.
Last day, the permit of Robin Bus was canceled by the Transport Secretary. The tourist permit of Robin Bus was canceled citing continuous violations.
The action is based on the All India Tourist Permit Rules of 2023. The order stated that the violations are likely to be repeated and that is why the action was taken.
