Even though there was a director named Aatli who made a name for himself with his first film Rajarani, perhaps only Vijay fans were waiting for Theri. Puli was released on October 1, 2015. The next Vijay movie was released 6 months later. Theri hit theaters on the same day five years ago.

In recent times, a winning film has not received so much family audience support.

Even after so many years of release, the film has received excellent TRP ratings whenever it hits TV. Probably after Gilli, Teri is another Vijay movie with such a repeat watch quality. Samantha, Amy Jackson, Motta Rajendran, Mahendran and GV Prakash Kumar all played their roles beautifully for the film. If Teri has been enjoying herself for so many years, they all appreciate it.
