It’s a well-known fact that South films are giving out their best of its kind of films that has amazed the people across the country. It’s been a while now, maybe after Baahubali, North Indians as well as Bollywood are fascinated by South Indian films. The South films have set a benchmark in the making style. With the latest releases of RRR and the sequel of the KGF sequel, the standard of Indian cinema has taken to the next level. The pan-India releases are highly embraced across the country and worldwide irrespective of languages.
Bollywood veteran actor Anil Kapoor on Monday praised the South film industry. He was speaking during the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Thar’, alongside his son Harshvarrdhan Kapoor.
He said, “The south industry has always made good films, which people have loved. From ‘Ram aur Shyam’ to ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’. They’ve always made fantastic films and will continue to do so. They have always been an inspiration.”
Anil Kapoor recalled that his first film as a leading man was Telugu film where he learnt professionalism, dedication, and discipline.
Kapoor further added, “This phase was, is and will go on. They do good work and I always look forward to (their) directors with great vision. I’ve always admired them. I don’t get surprised. This (success) had to happen and may it continue forever”.
Thar is the Netflix original film and will release on May 6, 2022. Apart from Harsh Varrdhan and Anil Kapoor, the movie also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik. Directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary, the film is produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company (AKFC). The dialogues are written by Anurag Kashyap.
