Reliance Jio True 5G services will now be available in Thrissur and Kozhikode city limits. It was earlier available in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
Starting January 10, Jio users in Thrissur and Kozhikode will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited data at 1 Gbps+ speed at no extra cost. Jio’s is a standalone 5G network that does not depend on the 4G network.
Customers do not need to change their SIM cards to avail Jio 5G services. The 5G supported phone must have a postpaid connection or a basic prepaid recharge of Rs 239 or above.
The company promises that Jio will be able to offer low-latency connectivity, machine-to-machine communication, 5G voice, edge computing and network slicing services with standalone 5G. Also, if the customer stays in a 5G coverage area for a longer period of time, they will be eligible for the Jio Welcome Offer.
