The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has announced of opening up the online registration procedure for admission to MBBS 2018. Functioning under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, JIPMER has got a total of 200 seats under its control. While 150 seats will be allocated in Puducherry, that of the remaining 50 seats will be for Karaikal.
The admissions are made based on a Common Entrance Examination, which is to take place on 3rd June, 2018. There will be two shifts of examination, each having duration of 2½ hours. While there is no upper age limit for applicants, the candidates however has to attain a minimum of 17 years of age. Online applications will be accepted until 13 April, 2018. Application fee for general candidates is INR 1,200. For candidates from reserved categories, the application fee is INR 1,200. For more details, visit, www.jipmer.puducherry.gov.in.
