NEW DELHI: JNU students’ struggle on issues including hostel fees will continue to this day. Meanwhile, teachers also came out to protest the police crackdown on students. Teachers’ organizations will convene on campus today to protest police action

The police beat up the students in a long march to parliament yesterday. Teachers alleged that the police beat up even students of heterogeneity. Social media and television news were filled with images of brutal beatings and bloody protesters. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has denied the allegations of brutal torture of students.

Meanwhile, a three-member committee appointed by the Ministry of Human Resources to discuss the issues will meet with the student union, JNU officials and hostel presidents today. The students submitted a memorandum to the Human Resources Ministry on Monday. The struggle of the students has reached its 23rd day today.
