ICMR has reported that India marked 18,653 new covid cases during the past 24 hours. Quite an unwelcome mark, the country has also crossed a daily death toll figure of 500, as a total of 507 deaths were reported during the last 24 hours. The pandemic, so far has claimed 17,400 lives from India. The total number of Covid positive cases in India stands at 5,85,493. However, the total number of active cases in India stands at 2,20,114, whereas 3,47,979 have recovered from Covid 19.
ICMS statistics show that the country has managed to test 2,17,931 samples yesterday. Maharashtra leads India’s Covid chart, and has over 1.74 lakh Covid patients in its account. The state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu.
