Covid is fastening up its progress in India. During the past 24 hours, a total of 28,701 fresh cases were reported in India. This happened to be the highest daily toll number till date in India. The country has also registered 500 new deaths during the last 24 hours. Now, this is the third consecutive day that the daily death toll in the country has touched the 500 mark. With this, the pandemic has claimed a total of 23,174 lives from India so far. Right now, the total number of Covid positive cases in India has gone past the 8.5 lakh mark. Till date, at total of 8,78,254 cases have been reported in India.
Ministry of Health informs that the active cases in India stands at 3,01,609, whereas a total of 5,53,471 got cured/discharged/migrated. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi continue to lead India’s Corona chart. ICMR statistics show that India has tested a total of 1,18,06,256 samples till day, with country testing a 2,19,103 samples last day.
