In line with yesterday, today, Kerala registered a total of 593 new Covid positive cases. Compared to the previous days, this happened to be the low figure. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 204. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 11,659, while the state’s total active cases have reached 6,418. A total of 5,206 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 116 are from overseas, while 90 came from other states.
The state has registered 364 cases through transmission in the past 24 hours. 19 health workers, 1 DSC officer, 1 Fire force officer have been tested positive for the disease. The state has also recorded 2 more Covid death cases – Arul Das and Baburaj, both from Thiruvananthapuram.

Right now, 1,73,932 people are under observation, with the number of institutional quarantine standing at 6,841. Today, Kerala has tested a total of 18,967 samples. With this, the total number of routine samples tested by the state, stands at 2,85,158. The results of 7,016 test results are yet to come. Today, a total of 1,053 people have been admitted to hospitals. Right now, Kerala has a total of 299 hotspots.
