ICMR has reported that India marked 19,684 new covid cases during the past 24 hours. The country has registered 434 deaths during the last 24 hours. The pandemic, so far has claimed 17,834 lives from India. Incidentally, the country has gone past the 6 Lakh Covid figure, as the total number of Covid positive cases in India stands at 6,04,641. However, the total number of active cases in India stands at 2,26,947, whereas 3,59,859 have recovered from Covid 19.
ICMS statistics show that the country has managed to test 2,29,588 samples yesterday. The total samples tested by the country till date has also gone past 90 Lakh figure, with the figure standing at 90,56,173 as of now. Maharashtra leads India’s Covid chart, followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Quite a welcome note, the country’s Covid growth rate has also declined. The statistics by ICMR suggested that the country’s cases per million stands at 3.5%, a drop of 0.1% from the last week. The fatality rate too has dropped to 2.6% from 2.9% in the same period.
