As was the practice for the past one week, the oil prices in the country have met with yet another increase. Today, the price of petrol has risen by 60 paisa, whereas that of the diesel met with an increase of 58 paisa. Thus, in eight days, the prices of petrol and diesel have risen by a total of Rs. 4.41 and Rs. 4.53 respectively.
Now, all eyes are into the central government as to whether they would intervene into the situation, especially since the country is yet to get out of the clutch of coronavirus. After a gap of more than 80 days, it was on June 7th, which the prices of the oil in the country met with an increase.
