Today, the state has reported 94 new Covid cases, out of which 74 are from outside; of these, 47 are from overseas. 37 came from other states, while 7 got the disease through transmission. The state also recorded 3 more deaths. The deceased are identified as, Xavier (Kollam), who reached hospital after confirming death, Meenakshi Amma (Palakkad), Shabnas (Malappuram)
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told reporters that the results of the 39 tests turned negative. With this, the total number of cases in the state rose to 1588. 663 were treated, while the state has got 884 active cases right now. A total of 3,777 samples were tested by the state today. So far, 76,321 samples have been sent for inspection. A total of 72,321 were found to be negative. The state has an active number of 124 hotspots.
