June 30 Kerala Covid Update: Kerala added 131 new cases

Kerala has marked yet another 100+ day with the state marking a total of 131 new positive cases. On the other hand, the number of samples that turned negative stands at 75. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 4444, while the state’s total active cases have reached 2,112. A total of 2,304 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 65 are from overseas. 46 came from other states, while 10 got the disease through transmission. Malappuram (4), Palakkad, Kasargode, Alappuzha and Kozhikode (2), is the list of districts, which has reported positive cases transmission. 9 CISF officers from Kannur turned positive today.

The state also marked its 24th Covid death, as Thiruvananthapuram native Thankappan (76) succumbed to death; he came from Mumbai last Saturday. The district wise breakup figure of positive cases is all follows.

As of now, 1,84,657 people are under observation, with the number of institutional quarantine standing at 2,781. Today, Kerala has tested a total of 6,076 samples. Till date, Kerala has tested 2,31,570 samples. Results of 3,872 samples are yet to come. Today, a total of 330 people are admitted to hospitals. Kerala, right now, has a total of 127 hotspots.
