Megastar Mammootty on Tuesday announced his next film ‘Kathal -The Core’, which will be directed by Jeo Baby, known for ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’. The announcement was made by the megastar on the occasion of Jyotika’s birthday.

Produced by ‘Mammootty Kampany’, the film will be distributed by Dulquer Salman’s Wayfarer Films.
The script is by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paul Scaria. Actors Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandini and others are also part of the film.
This also marks Jyotika’s return to the Malayalam film industry after 12 years. She was last seen in Seethakalyanam in 2009.
