Police has arrested the prime accused in the Kadinamkulam rape case. Prime accused Noufal was caught by police last night. It was from Noufal’s wife house in Channankara that he was caught by the police. The prime accused, who is an auto driver, is said to be the master brain behind the rape case. It was Noufal, who according to the woman, took her from her house and injured her. Now, an identification parade is expected to take place soon and the woman has to identify him. It is learnt that by completing all the procedures, his arrest would be recorded by today’s evening.
With this, police has managed to catch all the accused in the Kadinamkulam rape case. Last day, all the six other accused, including the woman’s husband were produced before the magistrate via video conference, and remanded subsequently. Police is expected to get nod from magistrate to get them under custody, after which the force would start collecting evidences against the accused in the case. Apart from rape cases, police has also charged POCSO, since the five year old child of the woman is the prime witness and had given testimony that he too was physically abused by the gang.
