Kochi: One more person succumbed to serious injuries in the Kalamassery bomb blast. Sally Pradeepan (45), a native of Malayathur, who was undergoing treatment, died. With this, the death toll in the Kalamassery blast has risen to five.
The 12-year-old girl who died earlier in the blast is the mother of Libna. Sally was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kochi in critical condition after the blast. He died last night.
Their son Praveen is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in a critical condition. Sally’s elder son Rahul is also undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Sally and her children Libna, Praveen and Rahul came together to the Jehovah’s Witnesses meeting in Kalamassery. It was here that the IED blasts were planned and carried out on Dominic Martin following a rift against the religious community. All four people were seriously injured in the incident.
Libna suffered 95 percent burns and died on the night of the blast.
