Keerthy Suresh starrer ‘Saani Kaayidham’, is gearing up for its release and the teaser of the film was released on Friday. The shooting of the film was delayed due to various reasons. Now, Keerthy has officially announced the release date of the film through the teaser.
‘Saani Kaayidham’ will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from May 6. The actress is essaying the role of ‘Ponni’ who is struggling against those who destroyed her family. Keerthy can be seen in a never before intense appearance in the teaser. Director Selvaraghavan also plays a major role in the film. Keerthy Suresh will play as Selvaraghavan’s step-sister in the film.

‘Saani Kaayidham’ is directed by Arun Matheswaran and produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Sam CS has scored the music for the film.
According to the makers of the film, “A generational curse, comes true in a senseless act of injustice to Ponni and her family. Driven to seek vengeance by Sangaiya, with whom she shares a bitter past.”
The synopsis of the film goes like this: “Ponni (Keerthy Suresh), working as a constable, living with her five year old daughter Dhanna and her husband Mari, who is working as coolie in a rice mill, but with his involvement in the local politics, tensions rise with him and his higher caste employers, who rape his wife Ponni and brutally murder him and their daughter by burning them alive in their hut . A devastated Ponni along with her step brother Sangaiya (Selvaraghavan) take the case to the court for justice, but the court denies them justice, so driven to rage they both take revenge on the people that wronged them.”
