Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal was speaking at the 'Mahila Samman Samaroh' debate program at the Delhi Town Hall saying that husbands who chant the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi all the time should not be given food. The event was organized in the context of the announcement of a scheme to pay Rs 1,000 per month to the women of Delhi. Also, Kejriwal told the women to ask their family members to take an oath that they would support him and the Aam Aadmi Party. He also asked other women supporters of BJP to tell them that only Kejriwal will stand with you.

1,000 per month to all women above the age of 18 through the 'Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana' scheme, which is included in the budget for 2024-25. Kejriwal also said that the project will bring real empowerment and he criticized that so far fraud has been done in the name of women empowerment. Women are said to be empowered after parties give certain privileges to a woman. This is not to say that women should not get positions. They should get bigger positions. But only two to four women benefit from this. Kejriwal also asks what the rest of the women are getting.
