State government has granted concessions for those who enter the state related to marriage purposes. Stating that both the bride and groom are not required to undergo quarantine period, the relatives and friends of both the sides are also exempted from quarantine requirement. Marriage parties can stay in the state for seven days. However, the government mandated that such parties are required to register at the Covid Vigilance portal and upload the marriage invitation card.
The latest norms issued by the government added that people are required to observe proper physical distance. Further, the ordinance also refrain people from other states from visiting other places without permission. The surveillance duty of such groups has been vested on district Collectors and the district Police Chiefs. Government has asked them to ensure that the functions are held by following proper guidelines.
Last week, the state government had issued a similar order. In that order, the quarantine norms were eased for the following category of people who enter the state – students, businessmen, people who are here for reasons such as medical, court and property registration purposes.
