Kerala govt extended the Karunya scheme till September 2020; The Karunya Benevolent Fund, which provides therapeutic benefit for serious ailments, including hemophilia, will continue until September 2020. Assistance will continue until September 30 for those currently receiving benefits.

Thereafter, these beneficiaries will be eligible to benefit under the Health Department’s Compassionate Health Care (Casp) program. The proceedings will be completed within three months. The Benevolent Fund will transmit beneficiary information to the state health agency set up by the Department of Health in mid-August. The health agency is also in charge of the operation.
