A 14-digit unique number will be allotted to all buildings in Kerala, said Minister MB Rajesh as part of easing business.
“The unique number will help the government easily identify the building and ease the procedures for various services,” said minister MB Rajesh.
Various services to the building owner are affected as the number will change every time while dividing wards for local body polls. Taking this into consideration, the government has decided to give a unique number to all buildings.
Though the present house number will continue to exist, it will not be used in future. At the time of numbering the houses, the unique building number is also generated in Sanchaya software.
