Kerala insists free education till 18 years of age

During the CBSE meeting took place in Delhi Vigyan Bhavan, Kerala Education Minister C Raveendranath opined that all should receive free and compulsory education, till he/she turns 18 years of age. The meeting, which discussed the improvements to be made in the educational field, saw Kerala stressing the need for complete govt. control in the education field. Minister added that privatization should be completely left out from the field of education.

The other major demand, which Kerala put forwarded was that of reserving 6% of GDP for education field.
