The Kerala International Short Film Festival (KISFF 2022) organized by ‘Vellithira Productions’, part of the WhatsApp group ‘Vellithira’ of Malayalam cinema, has kicked off to find the talents who wish to embark their journey in the film industry. The competition is organized in two categories namely Short Film and Musical Video.
KISFF jury member and popular director Santhosh Viswanath launched the festival’s logo and Vellithira’s official website at Ernakulam Press Club.
In addition to the Momento and Certificate, the winners will be awarded cash prizes of Rs 1 lakh in two categories. The entry fee is Rs. 1000. Leading OTT platforms such as Neestream, Saina Play, Mainstream, Xenia and Limelight are collaborating with the festival.
Selected short films will be screened through these OTTs if the producers are interested.
Indian Cinema Gallery (ICG), Essar Media and EDSS Ventures are also collaborating with KISFF.
Director Santhosh Viswanath, actor and director Boban Samuel, cinematographer Vaidi Somasundaram, screenwriter Rajesh Varma and music director and screenwriter Ratheesh Vega are the jury members of KISFF.
Short films and musical videos from January 2015 to April 2022 will be considered for the festival. Entries can be submitted through the website www.vellithira.net. until May 18.
