The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall for next two days in Kerala. The state is likely to receive downpour due to the formation of a low-pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal this evening.
The IMD stated that the low pressure is likely to intensify in the next 48 hours. Following this, a yellow alert has been sounded in various districts.
The yellow alert has been sounded for Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad on November 12 and 13.
