As was informed by the Kerala Police couple of days ago, they have released the force’s new application, which integrates several of their services. The interestingly named app, ‘POL – APP’, is the result of a name suggested by the social media. The app was unveiled by the CM and DGP Loknath Behra informed that the app has already been made it to the Google Play Store, while the rest of the platforms would soon get ‘POL – APP’. The app integrates a host of services by the Kerala Police. As many as 27 services of Kerala police can be availed through this app.
The app will feature several services such as Public Service Information, Security Directions, Notifications, Crime Reporting, FIR Download, Navigation to Police Station, Security Forces for Women and Children, Jamaithree Services, Cyber Awareness, Traffic Laws, Awareness Games, Telephone number and email addresses of important offices, Helpline numbers, Website links, Social Media feeders. Officials maintained that 15 mores services too will be added to the list of services, with which one could connect to the Kerala Police.
Earlier when the official announcement was made by Kerala Police through its facebook page, it was mentioned that the name was suggested by Venjarammood native Srikanth. While Srikanth’s suggestion was ‘Pollapp’, Kerala police decided to modify it by separating the name into two parts, ‘POLL’ and ‘APP’.
