The India Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning in Kerala till June 1. In view of this, a yellow alert has been sounded in various districts.
A yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur for Sunday.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea till May 30.
