Kia Subcompact SUV Sonet Unveiled In India

After a wait of almost a year, Kia has unveiled its third model, the Sonnet in India. The Sonnet is Kia’s second vehicle to be made entirely in India. The global launch of the sonnet took place in India today. Kia has announced that the domestic market launch and price announcement will take place in September.

Celtos comes in two variants, GT Line and Tech Line. It has a Tiger Nose grille similar to the one provided in the concept model. The headlight, DRL, and fog lamp are all made of LED. When it comes to the bottom of the bumper, the air dam in the honeycomb design has a red line below it.

Starting from the bottom of the bumper, black cladding extends around the vehicle. The sides of the sonnet are adorned with an alloy wheel with a diamond cut finish, red calipers, black rearview mirror, blackened B and C pillars and a chrome – plated door handle.

The back is also very stylish. The LED-ready taillights, the light strip that connects the two lights, the model’s name on the right and the variant’s badge on the left. The rear bumper is ready in dual tone. It has a reflection light and a red line as before.

Kia had earlier said that the interior will be rich with more features. The first look at the interior is a 10.25-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. The 4.2-inch screen provided in the instrument cluster displays navigation, trip computer, tire pressure and drive mode.

This vehicle has a regular climate control unit. The AC vents are made of glossy black plastic in a completely new shape. The control units are equipped with AC vents and a digital screen for the control unit. The venue has a seven-speaker Bose sound system, LED mood light and wireless charging.

Two-thirds of the chassis is made of strong steel to ensure efficient safety. In addition, the sonnet features safety features such as six airbags, anti-lock braking, hill assist, stability control, brake assist and child seat anchor.

The Sonnet is also Hyundai’s Venue platform. The petrol engine is 1.0 liter turbo and 1.2 liter. The diesel engine is 1.5 liters. Hyundai also has an intelligent manual transmission sonnet recently located on the Venue. Manual and dual clutch automatic transmissions are also available in this vehicle.

The sonnet will have to face strong rivals in India. Its main competitors are Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Breza, Tata Nexon, Ford Ecospot and Mahindra SUV 300. Upcoming models such as the Nissan Magnite, Toyota Urban Cruise and Honda HRV will also join the sub-compact SUV range.
