Barkat Ali, son of guest worker Yusuf, was beaten up in Alappuzha Mannancheri.
He was kicked on the back and hit on the hand with a lathi. The complaint says that the beating was carried out in a place where there is no camera in the station.
The injured student, a native of Delhi, sought treatment at the Chettikad hospital.
