Complaint that a Korean woman was molested near the Karipur airport. The woman, who was handed over to the police by security officials from the airport, disclosed to the doctors that she had been molested. This has also been confirmed in the medical examination. The Kozhikode Town Police registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.
The Korean woman, who came to Kozhikode on a tourist visa, arrived at the Karipur airport on Friday to return home. But she did not have tickets. Then security officials stopped the young woman who asked her to go home and handed her over to the police.
When the police made further inquiries about the woman, who was showing mental illness, it was found that she was staying in two hotels in Kozhikode city. They only spoke Korean and only asked for money in English. With this, the police tried to find the interpreter and seek information. But the woman did not want to say anything even though she found an interpreter and asked about the matter. Later, when she was transferred to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, the woman revealed the details of the molestation. The medical examination conducted at the hospital also confirmed the torture. With this, Kozhikode town police filed a case based on the medical examination report.
At the same time, the woman’s unwillingness to talk to the police is creating a crisis in the investigation. The police said that the woman’s statement will be recorded with the help of an interpreter after being produced before the magistrate.
