The Kozhikode Medical College has achieved yet another feat, when the Medical Council of India (MCI) has awarded a permanent recognition to all of its 250 MBBS seats. The recognition was given, based over the performance of the College over various attributes – infrastructure (College and Hostel), Student tutor ratio etc.
Earlier, when MCI had increased the capacity of students of Kozhikode Medical College from 200 to 250, it however hadn’t given permanent recognition status. Having 250 seats out of a total of 1,300 medical seats available in the State, Kozhikode Medical College is the biggest college in the state in terms of student intake.
