KSHEC Higher Education Scholarship 2018 – 2019 : Kerala state higher education council invited applications from eligible students who secured admission to the first year degree courses at Govt./Aided Arts and Science colleges, IHRD Applied Science Colleges and university study centers, affiliated to any university in the state of Kerala for the distribution of Higher Education Scholarship during the academic year 2018.

Candidates can apply online at the official website at www.kshec.kerala.gov.in from 12 November 2017 to 16 December 2017 through online mode only. Students should go through the eligibility criteria and how to apply instructions given below carefully before applying.

(On the basis of Marks Obtained in Plus Two or Equivalent Examination)
General Candidates:
Science/Business Studies – 75%
Humanities/Social Science – 60%
BPL/OBC Candidates:
Science – 60%
Humanities/Social Science – 55%
Business Studies – 65%
Physically Challenged Candidates:
Science/Business Studies – 45%
Humanities/Social Science – 45%
SC Candidates:
Science/Humanities/Social Science – 55%

ST Candidates:

KSHEC Higher Education Scholarship Amount:
For Degree Course :
First Year – Rs.12000/-
Second Year – Rs.18000/-
Third Year – Rs.24000/-
Post Graduate – Continuing Education:
First Year – Rs.40000/-
Second Year – Rs.60000/-
(Candidates with disability over 40% will get additional 25% of the scholarship amount)

SC/ST : 10%
BPL: 10%
OBC: 27%
Physically Challenged : 3%
General : 50%

Candidates should have a bank account in his/her name at any of the following banks.

Scholarship allotment will be based on the total seats available per stream per university.
Students getting any scholarship/stipend other than fee relaxation are not eligible for applying the scholarship.
(Lump Sum Grant/Hindi Scholarship is excluded)
KSHEC Higher Education Scholarship How to Submit Online Application:
- Visit the official website link HERE
- Click on ‘Online Registration’ link on the left side
- If you have already registered with DCE Scholarships, Do Applicant Login.
(If you lost/forget registration id or password, contact the Nodal Scholarship Officer of the institution) - After login click ‘Edit Details’ and enter the scholarship details on Column 8 and submit the form.
- If you are not registered before, fill the form and click the submit button
- Columns indicated with ‘red star’ marks are required fields and should be filled.
- After submitting the application successfully students should take printout of the application form by clicking the ‘Higher Education Link’.
- Candidates should keep the Registration ID & password safely.
- Candidates should submit the printout to the Principal/Head of the Institution along with the documents mentioned below.
KSHEC Higher Education Scholarship Documents Required:
(i) Copy of SSLC Certificate attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer to prove nativity, age & date of birth. (those who passed SSLC equivalent examination should submit nativity certificate from the village officer and the same should be attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer)
(ii) Copy of Mark List of SSLC/Equivalent attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(iii) Copy of Mark List of Plus Two/Equivalent examination attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(iv) Copy of the front page of the Bank Pass Book attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer (Candidate Name, Account Number, IFSC Code, Address should be clearly visible)
(v) Candidates belongs to BPL category should submit certificate attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer. (Certificate from Panchayat Secretary, Municipal Secretary, Corporation Secretary, Village Extension Officer)
(vi) Physically challenged students should submit medical certificate to prove 40% or more disability from a government medical board, attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(vii) SC/ST students should submit certificate from Village officer/Tehsildar, attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(viii) OBC candidates should submit Non-creamy layer certificate from village officer, attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
