Lenovo has become the market leader in the Tablet PC industry, when the company accounted for 21% of the market share. The report further suggested that the previous market leader Datawind fell into third spot – behind Samsung. As per the report, while Samsung witnessed a 39 percentage sequential growth in 2H CY2017, Datawind experienced a 35 percentage decline sequential growth in 2H CY2017.
The real area, where Lenovo led the chart was in terms of the B2B sales, into the second half of 2017. It was Government entities, which accounted the major part of the total shipments. That said, Education remained the most significant contributor amongst the list.
