Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor Arya Rajendran reiterated in her statement given to the Local Self-Government Ombudsman that the controversial letter is fake. Arya Rajendran also clarified that the official letter pad or seal of Thiruvananthapuram Mayor was not misused.
The Mayor had earlier told the same in the statement to Crime Branch. The employees also testified that no such letter was prepared.
Meanwhile, the vigilance investigation in connection with the controversial letter has been terminated. Vigilance informed that the investigation was closed on the basis of legal advice that there was no need for another investigation as the crime branch had registered a case.
