Lockdown extended by two weeks in the country until May 17. The Union Home Ministry announced the extension day before the second phase of the lockdown is scheduled to end on May 3. The Home Ministry has also outlined the allowed & restricted activities in the Red, Orange and Green Zones. Restricted concessions will be provided in the Green and Orange Zones.
But for some things restrictions remain the same throughout the country irrespective of the zones. Air, rail and metro transport and interstate travel are not allowed. Also, schools, colleges, educational institutions, including training institutes, will not work. Socio-political and cultural conferences are not allowed. Congregation of places of worship is not allowed.
Only emergency trips are allowed from 7 pm to 7 am. In all zones, those over 65 years of age, critically ill, pregnant women and children below 10 years of age should remain indoors.
