Dr. NK Arora, a member of the Central Government’s Advisory Panel, has said that the Made in India vaccine Biological E is expected to be 90 percent effective against Covid 19. He said the vaccine would be a ‘game changer’ in the fight against the Covid 19 epidemic.
Dr NK Arora said the vaccine was being tested in a third phase and would be available by October. He added that the Biological E vaccine, called Corbivax, was similar to the Novavox vaccine. The company claims more than 90 percent effectiveness against various variants of Kovid.
Novavax India manufactures the Serum Institute, which manufactures the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covshield. Reports of high hopes for the effectiveness of Novavox came last week.
