Mahindra is reportedly working hardly on bringing a new luxury SUV in India. The leaked images and reports suggest that the new SUV, which is been named ‘Rexton’, will go on sales in India by this year end. Rexton is been sold globally under the SsangYoung brand. Showcased at the Auto Expo 2018, the new car however has not gone much a change from the SsangYoung Rexton.
Powered by a 2.2 liter turbo diesel engine, the all new Mahindra Rexton develops a peak power of 178 bhp, while the peak torque figure stands at 420 Nm. Well, there is also a 2 liter petrol version as well, which is capable of developing a 222 bhp power. The available reports suggest that Mahindra might launch only the diesel variant in India.
