Mahindra is preparing to revamp its camp by launching a whole new generation of Mahindra XUV500 by the year 2020. Reportedly, the new gen Mahindra XUV500 will come with an all new platform and be based on the monocoque chassis. That means, the existing XUV500, launched in 2011, would thus be completely replaced by the new gen Mahindra XUV500.
Going in line with auto industry reports, the new XUV500 from Mahindra would come with a clean sheet design. Arguably boasting a bigger size, the new gen Mahindra XUV500 will be powered by a new 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine and produces a maximum power of 180bhp, evidently higher than the outgoing unit, which churns out around 150bhp.
