Finally, the petrol variant of Mahindra XUV500 got launched in India. The vehicle, which comes with a 6 speed automatic gearbox, is been priced at INR 15.49 Lakh. Powered by an indigenously developed 2.2 litre mHawk petrol engine, Mahindra XUV500 is capable of generating a power of 138bhp and a peak torque of 320Nm.The model has been tentatively titled as ‘G AT’ variant and appears to be similar to that of the diesel engine, doing round in Indian markets.
In terms of interior, G AT has got a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully automatic temperature control, 8 way adjustable driver seat, and to mention the rest. As far as the security is concerned, you would spot dual front airbags, ESP with rollover mitigation, ABS with EBD and the Emergency Call features. Notably indeed, the manual gearbox feature is absent from Mahindra this time.
