Malayalam University was awarded the 12B recognition by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Among the Universities in Kerala, Malayalam University is the quickest one in terms of receiving the UGC 12B recognition. The 12B recognition, based on the 1956 UGC Act, will open up more resources for the University. While awarding the recognition, UGC officials considered Malayalam University’s excellence in the fields of academics and administration.
With this, Malayalam University has attained a similar status as those of the other Universities recognized by UGC.
